"You Didn't Do That Great"

My husband Jimmy tagged along with me to Farm Fresh this evening.  They were doubling coupons up to $1 today.  We checked out and he told me, "you didn't do that great."  We do occasionally have to spend money on food!  Then he did say, "Well, some of it was my V8 drink."

In total we spent, before tax 24.35 and saved 10.00

Not a huge savings, as he pointed out, but we were out of cereal and I needed peanut butter to make my dogs some more Frosty Paws (they were a big hit with them yesterday--yes, they're very spoiled.)  I am also going to make some Breakfast Muffins so needed some Bisquick (that's what has Shrek's face on it) and cheese.  We finally used the 10 pounds of cheese in my refrigerator.  Okay, 10 pounds may be an exaggeration, but I haven't bought cheese in a few months.  (We'll not talk about not planning ahead and how the price of the ONE bag of cheese was 1.99.)

Then we headed over to see our friend Evie.  My sister is babysitting her Wednesday nights for a few weeks, so we stopped by for a little visit.

This weekend my dad, Jimmy's golf partner, is working, so Jimmy's going to be put to work around the house.  He so far has only mentioned washing his truck and my car, but I am much more concerned about the hurricane in our living room.  We'll see how much we can get accomplished. ;)

Farm Fresh Double Coupons Up to $1

Farm Fresh is doubling coupons up to and including $1.00 Sunday-Tuesday.  If you're over 55, go on Tuesday to save an extra 5% on top of that.

I started to do matchups, but the ad pulling up for 06/13 pulls up as 06/08, but you should be able to find some good deals.  You can go here to see when they really update it.

Farm Fresh Triple Coupons

I apologize I am just now getting this out.  Unfortunately I didn't read the Farm Fresh ad very well on Sunday.  Thankfully I read my Facebook wall and saw where Kris Klipper (this is her Twitter link) posted about triple coupons at Farm Fresh.

Today and tomorrow (Tuesday) Farm Fresh is tripling coupons up to .99 cents.

Up to 20 manufacturer coupons tripled per shopping visit.  Limit 1 coupon per item.  Maximum of two like items tripled per shopping visit.  Excludes coupons that state "do not double or triple."

Also, if you're a senior (55 and up), Tuesdays & Thursdays you can save an extra 5% off your bill (every week) which can be combined with double or triple coupons.  My mom makes a killing those days!  (Sorry, Mom, for revealing your age :))

I'll look at the ad and my coupons and see what good matchups I can find for you.

Farm Fresh 05/04 -- Saved 42%

Today was the last day this week of double coupons up to $1.00 at Farm Fresh.  I am sick as a dog, but the urge to use my coupons was calling.  (That in itself has got to be an illness!  If the math's not right, that's my excuse, too.)

Heinz vinegar was 1.39 each, used $1/2 coupon (.50 cents off available now) = .39 each

Velveeta Shells were 8/$10, bought 4 and used two $1/2 coupons (paper the other week) = .25 each

Lawry's Marinade was 2/$3, used two .50 cents off coupons (paper this week or last?) = .50 each

Viva Paper Towels 1.99 each, used .85 cents off coupon (paper the other week) = .29 each

Lance Crackers 2.00, used $1 off coupon = free

Lightlife Frozen dinners 2.99 each, used two $1 off coupons which weren't supposed to be doubled, but did (paper last week) = .99 each

Kraft 100 calorie pack 2.99, used $1 off coupon (previously available on coupons.com) = .99 each

Then I paid full price for Frosty Paws (3.99) for my dogs, some yogurts (.89 each) and some Garlic Cheese spread (6.99!!!).  I also finally found a hamburger press (1.99), who knew they were so hard to find?  I got one for myself and a coworker who also was looking for one.

Farm Fresh Trip -- Saved 37%

Does anyone else feel like they're always buying groceries, or is it just me?

After work and a busy day of appointments and meetings, I headed to Farm Fresh for their double coupons up to $1.00 today (they are now doubling coupons up to .99 cents every day).  I had a lot of $1 off coupons so think I did pretty well.  I ended up saving $32.66 or 37%.

My camera let me take two quick pictures before it died again!

Sorry the quality is bad, but some winning deals were:
Lean Cuisines were on sale 2/$4 and you could get a free Skinny Cow ice cream item (4 count or higher) for free when you bought 6.  I used a $1/4 coupon often available on their website, though not currently.  It also generated a coupon at the register for $1.50 off 7.  Not as impressive as the $1 off 3 I got at Target earlier, but I'll still use it.
The Skinny Cow I got free--mint ice cream sandwiches, yum!--were originally 3.99.
4 Sobe Lifewaters at $1 each and used a B1G1 free coupon received at the Farm Fresh register previously.
YoPlus pack was free with the coupon I received last month.
McCormick Basil Leaves for .99 cents, orginally 2.99 and my $1 off coupon from this week's paper doubled.
KC Masterpiece Marinade was 2.50, used $1.00 off coupon available here (note you do have to register), so .50 cents after doubled coupon.
(By the way, those are bagged apple slices wrapped up in the front)

I had a second picture which isn't loading, but it was my Viva paper towel rolls, on an unmarked sale for 1.25 each, used my .85 cents off coupon which was doubled and left overage.  I also got milk, eggs, coffee, Starkist Tuna pouches and some cheap Velveeta shell cups for 1.25 each, used $1/2 coupons from this week's paper so got them for about .25 cents each.

Total After Savings was 57.80
Total Savings 32.66
